Our Mission

To address the evolving challenges of gambling addiction and provide world-class treatment. As the addiction with the highest suicide rate, gambling demands immediate attention and comprehensive solutions.
Recognizing this crucial gap in Ontario’s healthcare landscape, our mission is to address the evolving challenges presented by gambling and provide world-class treatment to compulsive gamblers.

End to VIP Programs

In Ontario, an estimated 1-3% of gamblers account for 80% of operator revenue through exploitative VIP programs offering bonuses and perks.

We are calling for an end to VIP programs and incentives like "free bet" bonuses that prey on addiction vulnerabilities. These schemes have flooded Ontario, with the sole goal of keeping addicted players depositing funds. We believe removing tempting incentives that target those with gambling problems is key to promoting responsible gambling and reducing harm.

End all gambling advertising, including sponsorship of sports

The substantial investment in gambling advertising highlights the immense losses incurred by the 'VIP's that are gambling addicts.

The ever-present marketing of betting normalizes and glamorizes harmful behavior. Gambling ads must be banned just like cannabis and cigarettes.

Educating the youth

Educate high school and University students with facts about the realities and risks of gambling, in hopes of deterring future addiction.

By informing youth directly about predatory industry practices, the low odds of winning, and the impacts of gambling disorders, we aim to counteract dangerous assumptions and equip students with knowledge to make responsible choices.

Expanding Canada’s Access to Gambling Addiction Treatment

At our core, we are driven
to
help everyone in Ontario struggling with gambling addiction.

We aim to build a world-class facility focused on long-term recovery. Quality care and support should not be limited by geography or income. Everyone battling the destructive impacts of compulsive gambling deserves help overcoming this affliction in Canada.

A sense of urgency

Addressing Rising Gambling Addiction Among Youth and Young Adults.

With gambling more accessible than ever, young adults are being bombarded with glamorized betting promotions promising big wins. This illusion has led to skyrocketing addiction rates, as university students and 18-29 year old are particularly vulnerable targets.
To counteract this dangerous marketing, we aim to implement comprehensive educational programs in high schools and post-secondary institutions. By proactively arming students with facts and resources, we hope to deter the cycle of addiction before it starts.
